Dr. Tilton received his PhD in epidemiology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. For his dissertation and graduate work, he supported randomized controlled trials in rural areas of Guatemala and South India assessing effectiveness of multiple micronutrient fortification powders in promoting growth, development and nutrition among infants and toddlers. Previously, Dr. Tilton worked at Anthem Inc., providing study design consultation and assessing effectiveness of interventions intended to improve rates of screening and preventive services among Medicare and Medicaid populations. His research interests include longitudinal analysis and nutritional epidemiology. Dr. Tilton has several years of experience managing and analyzing data for research studies using both SAS and Stata, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) / National Institutes of Neurological Disorders (NINDS)-funded BP COG project.
